With an approach rooted in compassion, empathy and evidence-based practice Cheryl is blazing the trail for a new era of mental health services. One where psychological self-care is as prioritised as our physical health and accessible to everyone. Mental health is hard, but Cheryl firmly believes that therapeutic services can empower us all to live bigger, better, more fulfilled lives.
Cheryl takes a holistic view, taking a step back to understand the whole person, not simply their symptoms, before agreeing on the best therapeutic approach. She is a strong advocate for the importance of the mind-body connection.
Our mind influences our body, our body influences our mind – it’s not a one-way street. Just as exercise is known to be beneficial for our mental health, breaking free of negative thinking patterns and embracing mindfulness practices can improve our overall wellbeing.
Lifestyle, nutrition, physical and mental health are all pieces of the wellness puzzle that Cheryl helps her clients to unite. Cheryl seeks to empower her clients to make positive change, guiding them towards unlocking strength, resilience and self awareness. She believes in the power of her clients’ voices in shaping therapeutic journeys, encouraging them to honestly share their experiences in order to develop and grow.

Trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Supportive Psychotherapy, Couples Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), she honed her practice in London holding senior clinical, management and leadership positions in the NHS. Prior to emigrating to the UAE, she was the Consultant Psychologist in Psychological Medicine at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
She has dedicated a significant part of her career to improving employee wellbeing in organisational settings, supporting interventions that foster resilience, reduce workplace stress and promote overall well being. An area she is particularly passionate about is supporting women through perimenopause and menopause – a critical phase of life that can be overwhelming, yet is so often overlooked. Through tailored counselling, workshops and community support groups, Cheryl inspires her clients to find their power in this transition.
In addition to her counselling work, Cheryl regularly supports the psychological field through hosting professional workshops and seminars.
